Furnished 16qm room in a furnished apartment in an old building in the beautiful "Geist-Viertel"
Dear housing seekers,
At the beginning of September I will leave Münster for 4 months, for a semester abroad in Prague. Therefore I am looking for an temporary tenant for our beautiful shared apartment in the so called "Geistviertel", between September 1st and the end of the year (December 31st).
I moved into the newly founded flat-share only one year ago and still feel very comfortable. It is a multi-party old building that was renovated shortly before we moved in last year.
Our apartment, on the second floor of the house, has 3 bedrooms (of which I rent one), a bathroom and a spacious kitchen with connection to the beautiful balcony and 2 small storerooms.
Without any doubt, two of the highlights of the apartment are the beautiful, bright floorboards and the already mentioned balcony, with a view to the old water tower and enough space to spend time there, even with several people.
As this is an intermediate rent, I hand over my 16 qm-room furnished: In it you will find a king-size bed, a large commode, a clothes rail, a side table, an armchair with a corresponding footstool, a desk and a chair - most of them bought last year and in good condition. On request, individual pieces of the furniture can be removed before your arrival.
The shared flat is centrally located in the beautiful Geistviertel. For all non-Münster residents - here you will find a mixture of students, young career starters and families - a quiet and at the same time diversified neighbourhood.
It takes about 5-7 minutes by bicycle to the castle / university and the city centre. The parallel street is the lively "Hammerstraße, where many shops, cafes and pubs can be found. The nearest supermarket (Rewe), pharmacies, doctors and various bakeries are only a 2 minutes' walk apart from the apartment. At the neighbouring "Geistmarkt" takes place 2 times a week a small market and there can also be found the next bus stop. The south park, 5 minutes away, is also very practical for jogging and the Aasee lake is less than a 10 minutes walk away from our apartment.
All in all, it is a beautiful, quiet and nevertheless very central location, especially recommendable for students of the WWU.
Living in the apartment
We, Julian (26), Adrien (25) and I (24), live together in our shared flat.
While Adrien and I both came to Münster for our Master studies, Julian is a "real" Münster native and already a professional. But here I would suggest: Get to know both of them personally!
The shared flat is very harmonious and definitely not a purpose-built shared flat. Everybody has his/her freedom and nevertheless we are open do activities together. Even if we were a pure boys' flat so far, it has always worked very well with order and cleanliness, even without a cleaning plan, based on the confidence that everyone wants to live in a proper flat. This circumstance should remain also during your time here.
Nothing speaks against parties, as long as you agree in advance. Also our neighbours in the house are very nice and sympathetic. To mention it again, girls are also welcome!
The new built-in kitchen has everything you need: Stove, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, enough flatware and dishes and a comfortable dining table. In the storage room there is enough space to store your own food.
Our apartment has its own cellar. We also have our own washing machine in the washing cellar.
Bicycle parking spaces are directly in front of the house. The parking situation is very relaxed due to the neighbouring ghost market. All costs are already included in the rental price.
We are looking forward to your request!
