What is the Gay Department?
We are your student representatives at university and mainly concerned with counselling services for you. Regardless if you have problems with your teacher or with your sexuality; we are always here to listen to you. We also want to provide a space to meet up at university that is a bit more accessible than it usually is in today’s internet-dominated times.
Naturally, we also have a political mission. The society we live in today may be way more tolerant than it was a couple of years ago, but it is still possible to face intolerance in our daily lives. That is exactly where we want to start, by trying to inform and educate in order to abolish prejudices and reservations in our society.
Nevertheless, since the fun part of the department should not be completely neglected, we of course also organize several events, so it does not get boring for you. From board game and movie nights to trips, joint barbecues or various parties - you can have a great time with us and certainly also find new friends.
